John is responsible for establishing relationships with a diverse level of producers and educating them on the disability income insurance product solution portfolio of Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (GLIC). In addition, he will assist on case preparation, underwriting, and advocacy of our protection first methodology. Furthermore, John is charged with maintaining the current varied relationships of disability insurance brokerage professionals and establishing new relationships.
John brings over 28-years of sales and marketing experience in the financial services industry. John has worked with advisors in many channels including the independent advisor channel, Edward Jones, UBS, Wachovia and State Farm. This work involved all aspects of comprehensive insurance planning. John is passionate about helping simplify the sales process so advisors can easily protect the income of their valued clients. He began his career as an agent with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. Over the years, John's career has evolved and grown through several positions of greater responsibility with organizations such as John Hancock Life Insurance Company, Sales and Brokerage manager; Lincoln Financial, Director of Life Development; Phoenix Life Insurance Company, Wealth Management Consultant; and Ameritas Life Insurance, Manager of Disability Income.
John grew up in the Chicago area. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa where he earned a BBA in Business Administration. While at Iowa, John was a member of the NCAA championship wrestling teams. He still enjoys following the Hawkeyes and collegiate wrestling.
John is married to Celia and they have two boys, John and Phil. He enjoys spending time with family and their golden retriever, Bear.
