Milorad Markovic, DIA

Milorad “Milo” Markovic was promoted to Director of Life and Disability Income Brokerage in April 2023.  Within his new role, he assumes core responsibilities of establishing relationships with a diverse level of producers and educating them on the life and disability income insurance solutions within The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (GLIC) portfolio.  In addition, he will assist on case preparation, training, underwriting, and advocacy of our protection first methodology to all the firm’s stakeholders. Furthermore, Milo will work alongside Hunken Ewing Financial Group’s (HEFG) current Director of Disability Sales, John Mac Naughton, to continue growing, establishing, and maintaining the various advisor and broker relationships of the firm.

Milorad joined HEFG as an ambitious financial professional in September 2021 who strived to give back to his community through financial education. He has a diverse background where he ran his own e-commerce small business and was a former partner in a logistics firm.  As a financial representative at HEFG he provides education and financial literacy in his community.  In addition, he was awarded the highly coveted, Client Builder Award – Diamond, for fast start Financial Representatives within the GLIC career network.  Milo has earned the Disability Income Associate (DIA) designation from the AHIP trade organization.

He was born and raised in Serbia and graduated from the University of Belgrade as an Environmental Engineer. After earning his bachelor’s degree, he moved to the United States to pursue opportunities for his family and community. Milorad currently resides in the heart of Chicago in River North. When he's not at the office working with clients and prospects, he is boxing at his local gym, practicing the art of cooking, or spending quality time with family and friends.
