After considerable success in the agricultural commodities trading industry, more than 13 years of which were spent as both a broker and independent trader, Sam is excited about the opportunity to integrate his abilities and experience as a Financial Professional. At the Chicago Board of Trade, Sam had a diverse group of clients, ranging from local independent traders to large corporations such as Archer-Daniels-Midland and Cargill. The last two trades ever made in the corn futures pit, a system used since 1848, were made by Sam as open outcry was replaced by an electronic platform.
Sam grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from John Carroll University. As a lover of all types of music, he learned how to play the bagpipes. A little after a year of lessons and practices, Sam became a member of the Chicago Stockyard Kilty Band as a bagpiper. The Stockyard Kilty Band provides an outlet to give back to the community in various ways and Sam can be found playing at the United States Marine Corps Ball, fundraising events, retirement homes, and St. Patrick's Day parades.
Beginning in 2020, Sam joined Hunken Ewing Financial Group. As an avid problem solver, he is looking forward to the opportunity to help his clients become financially organized and achieve financial confidence.
